About the work
newydd | new facilitated a board development workshop to provide directional input ahead of business planning. The session took a long-term view of the work of the organization, asking participants to think about what might need to happen to achieve its ambitions by 2040.
The approach
The session combined challenging questions with the 1–2–4–all facilitation method. Individual reflection was followed by conversations in progressively larger groups, creating space for participation and helping the group build a shared view.
What the work produced
The workshop generated directional steers for the next stage of planning. Its design helped participants build rapport, explore future choices, surface different perspectives and move towards consensus.
